The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the youngest and oldest parishioners.
The industrial premises of the Nimbus shipyard, first used as a meeting room for Nimbuskyrkan.
Nimbusgården was completed in 1999
Nimbusgården is a subsidiary of Nimbuskyrkan , part of the Equmenia Church.
Nimbusgården AB was included in the parish's reception early in the process when they said in ads "We build for the future". The facility was completed in 1999 and at that time there were 14 hostel rooms and a café and restaurant. The restaurant was built to handle about 50 lunches. Quickly it went and the restaurant had to expand, today Nimbusgården serves anything between 100-250 guests in a day.
As Nimbuskyrkan bought the site from a former boatyard, it was natural to also use the harbor as a guest harbor and marina for leisure travelers.
The business today not only operates lunch. It is possible to confer, stay overnight in our 8 hotel-standard cabins, basta, coffee, ice cream, etc. We have it all.
By 2025, the business will also invest in kayak and bike rentals and a miniature golf course.
A warm welcome to us at Nimbusgården!
